Question:How can I view the patent images?

Answer:
The PTO Web Patent Full-Text Database includes the full text of all patents granted since 1976, and the patent number, issue date, and current US classification for all patents granted from 1790 through 1975. At the top of each text display page is a button marked "Images". Clicking on that button will display the full-page image of the first printed page of that particular patent, along with navigational tools allowing the viewing of all the other pages.

Question:Why does a particular drug product only have exclusivity?

Answer:
Exclusivity is not added to the patent life.

Question:Utility patents are granted to inventors that discover new and useful processes, machines, articles of manufacture.

Answer:
File a Utility Patent Application - Utility patents may be granted to anyone who invents or discovers any new and useful process, machine, article of manufacture, or compositions of matters, or any new useful improvement thereof.

Full document text may be searched on U.S. patents issued since 1971 and OCR text from 1920 to 1970. U.S. patent images from 1790 to the present may be retrieved for viewing or printing. Definition:
A patent must be new or original. That is, the invention must never have been made in public in any way, anywhere, before the date on which the application for a patent is filed.

Specimen

Definition:
Labels, tags, or containers for goods are considered to be acceptable specimens of use for a trademark. For a service mark, specimens may be advertising such as magazine advertisements or brochures.
